We found this little jewel of an adventure on our return trip from the Poas Volcano National Park. Tucked in the lush rainforest, this park not only hosts a wide variety of rescued wildlife, but includes the most beautiful trails leading to five different waterfalls.
They told us that most of these animals were rescued from private owners, and because of this, they cannot be returned to the wild.
I conquered my fear of birds in the aviary and even held a beautiful Toucan!
